Schizo Utterances

Me you her him and that other girl
Who I first perceived as mild-mannered
And as bland as some Corn Flakes
Well over 90 till I hit the brakes
Hotboxing, and we’re rocking,
It’s not shocking, our eyes are starry
Drowned in glitter, we ride the space safari
Shotgun me, I daresay, I dare you
She’s a brash, cheeky gal
Whose not to be teased
She says what she wants and does what she pleases
A round of truth or dare with her, she checks off all the boxes
Skims down the list like a speed reader
Turns to me again like I'm their lost leader
Time rolls like a sleigh down a lush hill
Till it hits a patch of sludge
She gives me a nudge then we gobble up the peach
It hinders our speech
Then the former Princess of Pop is blaring
The bongo drums and thuds on my eardrums
Smashing so hard that it flaps my gums
Cymbals spark and clash like a hot flash
Erupt into a volcano spewing sequins
My eyes sewn shut so I’m not blinded
Gyrating and reeling like a fish on a line
When it hits rock bottom
Aqua frosting limbs
The numbing from within
I may not be so precocious after all
I’m not miles apart from the rest of the land
Though I am in my own wild jungle
