I am growing increasingly enthralled and obsessed with poetry---not just Sylvia, but EVERYONE. Anne Sexton has recently peaked my interest as well as Emily D of COURSE, E.E. Cummings, and others.

I am working on a collection of poetry as well. Who knows, maybe I can peddle this before "Matches" given poetry comes so much easier to me. It's far less difficult than novel writing.

Damn, I think I've got carpal tunnel my fingers are killing me. Too much writing maybe.

Anyway, for the most part, all of my poems are on my blog here, thank the Lord. I am still brainstorming a tentative title. Most of my poems are about anxiety, finding bliss, strength, self-discovery, and the like. I'm thinking I want a title that will encapsulate some coming of age, reflective thing like that...finding internal peace with oneself. And most importantly, CHANGES IN LIFE. Which are so very crucial. That's what gets us through it, since change is always difficult. You can make a seamless transition, but that still won't make it any easier.

GOAL FOR NEW YEAR: CARRY MINI NOTEBOOK YOU HAVE AROUND WITH YOU EVERYWHERE, YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN A BRILLIANT IDEA WILL STRIKE UPON YOU. PULL A JACK KEROUAC. DON'T FORGET.
